혐오사회를 넘어서
혐오의 감정은 무엇에 기초한 것인가? 혐오의 감정이란 사람들 간의 차이를 차별로 둔갑 시킨 것뿐이 다. 인간들 사이에는 차별이 정당화될 만한 간극이 존재하지 않는다는 사실을 알아야 한다. 즉, 인간은 그 누구도 인간을 혐오할 자격이 없다는 것이다. 따라서, 결론적 이야기부터 하자면, 누구도 혐오할 자격이 없는 인간은 사람을 사람으로서 대하고 인정하면서, 증오와 멸시에 저항해야만 하는 것이다. 필자는 “해리 포터 시리즈”에 나타나는 머글사회와 마법사회의 이분법적 대립과, 각 사회속의 악의 역할 을 하는 인물들의 분석을 통해서 혐오 사회의 현상과 혐오사회를 넘어서는 대안 제시라는 새로운 분석을 시도하고자 한다.
Beyond the Society of Disgust
What are the feelings of disgust based on? The feelings of disgust are simply from the difference between people. We need to know that there is no gap in human beings that discrimination can justify. In other words, no human beings deserve to dislike other humans. Therefore, from the conclusion, human beings who do not deserve to be abhorred must resist hatred and contempt, treating and acknowledging people as human beings. I would like to try a new analysis that suggests alternatives beyond the society of disgust and the hate society by analyzing the dichotomy of the Muggle society and the Magician society in “Harry Potter series” and the characters in the role of evil in each society.
